April 8th When Lynn and I had finally done enough exploring, it was time to make the return trip. We went out of Old Town a different way and window shopped as we walked. We stopped at Zapiecek Polskie Pierogarnie for a pierogi dinner. I chose an assortment of meat, cheese and sweet dumplings. I am now spoiled for life. These pierogi were the VERY best I've ever had and living in Winnipeg, the pierogi that babas make to raise money for church activities are awesome. Maybe we can convince the ladies who own the restaurant to open one in Winnipeg!Upon leaving Zapiecek, we again travelled down a different road and thus were able to see Warsaw's major "meeting" square and get a better look at the buildings in that area. |
