We woke up fairly early considering the long day we'd had. We decided to visit the Grand Pacific Dining Room for breakfast since it might be a little less congested than the Garden Cafe on Deck 12. During the day, we chose different activities. For instance, Roberta went to a Trivia challenge while I checked out a Canvas for U Painting class. I actually didn't join the class. They were doing something pretty basic, but I'd met two ladies who WERE during sign up. I actually went back later to give them hints on how to make their paintings more appealing. I even used my watercolour pencils and my black pen brush to do a facsimile of their paintings.

Roberta and I did meet up for lunch at O'Sheehan's. We each picked an appetizer from the menu then watched the cake decorating demonstration in the Atrium Lounge below. Three different people tried their hand at icing cakes and cupcakes. It was the most fun to see a particular man ice some cupcakes. He did a decent job but the chef obviously had more practice at "making pretty". When they snapped a picture for the guy, the chef gave the guy the nice set of cupcakes to show off while he held the amateur ones.

After lunch, Roberta and I split up again. She wanted to go to a Ladies Pamper Party. I visited the ladies mentioned above then I went to the library to work on a couple of web pages. The desks by the windows shone too much light on my Windows tablet so I took over the "Librarian" desk. While sitting there, passengers coming to the library kept asking me questions like "How do you sign out a book?", or "Why are those book cases locked? I'd like a book from that one!". Prefacing with "I'm a passenger too!", I still did my best to help them. Filling in for my old school's librarian when subbing over the past few years made me respect their questions and try to be helpful. After a while, Samantha, a crew member showed up to take care of the library by opening the bookcases and so on. Turns out Samantha was doing double duty. She was actually one of the dancers in the ship's theatre. I learned that her parents were British and moved to Australia where Samantha was born. She laughed that when talking side by side with a Aussie, she's mistaken for English whereas when talking side by side with a Brit, people know she's Australian. She told me about the different shows we'd be seeing on our cruise and told me the ones not to miss. A very nice young lady!

When I left the library, I went to the Bliss Lounge and found Roberta there with a couple playing Scattergories. I joined in the fun. Being Canadian came in handy when choosing places starting with __. We'd just name a place no one would ever think of because they'd never even heard of the place. Interesting that people from the USA had problems picking a good place... probably because place names are often shared by different states. For example there are 41 Springfields and 26 Salems there.

We went to dinner (dresses!) to our "go to" dining room (Grand Pacific!) then we rushed to see the 7:30 show in the Stardust Theatre. That night: Adam Westcott, an exceptional flamenco guitarist. He has a website - adamwestcott.com - where you could hear a couple of tunes. Having played an instrument, and having attempted classical guitar, I know just how nimble his fingers are when he's playing a song. He wasn't everyone's "cup of tea" but I certainly liked listening to him.
