April 10th The trip back from Auschwitz/Birkenau was pretty quiet. I learned that a Zoologia is a pet store although I didn't get a chance to visit one. As we drove back into Krakow, we passed a castle on the hill which was German headquarters during the war. Another reminder.When we got back to the hotel, Lynn and I headed back to Old Town for dinner. I had a leg of duck and fixings which was delicious. Sorry for the shaky photo... I'll have to ask Lynn if she has a better one. After dinner, we headed for the square. The buildings looked great all lit up for the night. We also re-visited the outdoor market. It was around 10 before SOME of the shops packed up for the night. |
