April 16th Sunday morning we drove from Vienna to Prague. First stop (rest stop) was in Mikulov, just inside the Czech border. From the parking lot, we had nice views of the Mikulov Castle and of Way of the Cross on Holy Hill. Second stop was at Motorest Melikana (Melikana Roadhouse) in Sperice, Czechia. There we ate lunch and without realizing it at the moment, we first came in contact (serendipity!) with our Prague guide, Alexandra. She actually helped me out with something then ended up talking with Michael.Two animal facts about Melikana: dogs are allowed inside the restaurant (a real no-no in Canada) and outside several very cute goats entertained whoever stood near them. Being typical goats, they came to anyone (me) who would feed them something. |
