April 16th

Before too long, we were in Prague. Since our hotel, the Grand Majestic Plaza, was down a very narrow street, Albert had to let us out at the end of the block. The hotel had been been created in pieces so you needed to know the exact elevator to use otherwise you never would have made it to your room!

After dropping off our bags, we met in the lobby so Michael could lead us on an orientation tour of Prague. Since we were going to be on our own for the rest of the day, we'd need to know the important points of interest and get a few ideas as to where to eat.

It was a short walk to Republic Square. There was a humongous Lindt bunny in honour of it being Easter Sunday, I guess. As we walked through Republic Square, Michael told us to how to get to Old Town Square down a street near the Lindt bunny where you'd pass under two archways to make your way there.

We continued past the Paladium (a large pink building housing many retail stores) and rounded the corner of Municipal House (a way cool art deco building!). There stood the Powder Tower. Walk under its archway and down the street and we'd also get to Old Town Square. The bonus of going down this street would be that it was a popular shopping area. After answering a few more specific questions, Michael left us to our own devices.
